Equality, equity and inclusion

Key Message 1: The school must ensure inclusion of all students, embracing and supporting those with diverse abilities, language, culture, gender, ethnicity or religion

Key Message 2: All students, including the marginalized ones, should be given an opportunity to learn: access, participation, achievement

Key Message 3: Diversity can generate challenges: bullying, discrimination, prejudices. They need to be addressed. 

Key Message 4: Teachers should promote diversity in the classroom: setting common values of solidarity, respect for diversity and tolerance

Key Message 5: Diversity must be valued: it is an opportunity to learn about other people
